The Spitzkoppe, also known as the “Matterhorn” of Africa stand out dramatically on the flat desolated landscape and is 1784 meters above sea level. The rich vegetation at the Spitzkoppe includes Acacia Species, Butter Tree, Milk bush and Commiphora species. Klipspringer and rock dassies can be sighted on the rock formations.
We depart at 8h00 from Swakopmund/Walvis Bay from your hotel. We drive a very scenic route from Swakopmund towards Usakos (130KM) to reach the Spitzkoppe. The famous Spitzkoppe Mountain is known for fantastic photography. You will visit the bushman art/paintings created some centuries ago.
Light lunch will be served while you viewing the unique landscape or rock formations. From here we departed to the Damara Informal Stone market, where they sell semi- precious stones that are minded in the area. You can buy some stone souvenirs.
